With this new ϳԹtech PoC Fund, the will facilitate the trials of digital products and services that can significantly enhance safety and reduce risk in safety-critical industries and infrastructure.
The ϳԹtech Accelerator is a not-for-profit initiative launched by Lloyd’s Register (LR) and Lloyd’s Register Foundation in 2018. “We are delighted that the ϳԹtech Accelerator is launching this new ϳԹtech PoC Fund. For our clients, working with the Accelerator provides a unique opportunity to engage with innovative early-stage tech companies to solve important safety and risk challenges that could not only benefit them, but entire industries”, said Nial McCollam, CTO at Lloyd’s Register.
In just two years, the ϳԹtech Accelerator - the world’s first and only accelerator focussed on safety and risk in industrial environments - has tackled 16 global pilot projects with leading companies, or ‘Challenge Partners’, including Wallenius Wilhelmsen, Scorpio, P66, Pepsi Cola, Seaspan, Shell, GB’s Health and ϳԹ Executive, KOTUG, PIL and many more.
“The Accelerator has done great work in the past two years with companies who have trialled innovative solutions from early-stage digital companies at their sites, ranging from sensor technology, machine learning, AI and computer vision systems and data analytics. With the launch of the ϳԹtech PoC Fund, we are now ready to embark on new collaborations with corporates and startups”, added Dr Maurizio Pilu, Managing Director of the ϳԹtech Accelerator.
