David Reid, Director of Global Advocacy and Partner Campaigns at Lloyd’s Register Foundation, reflects on the complex psychology that influences the behaviour of road users.

David led the Foundation's strategic communications and global engagement team for five years, creating coalitions of partners and developing campaigns to achieve our mission of engineering a safer world. He was seconded to the Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk at the National University of Singapore from 2023 to 2025 as a senior fellow specializing in risk communication and now leads the Foundation's global advocacy efforts.
