Dr. Nikhil Bugalia is an Assistant Professor in the Building Technology and Construction Management division of the Department of Civil ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His research is focused on addressing the challenges related to OHS and the sustainability of the construction industry, and on applying technical tools to identify risks and develop and implement solutions. He has worked on skills development, capacity building, and training projects at organisational and policy levels in association with the Asian Development Bank Institute, Tokyo, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and East Japan Railway Company. He also holds the secretary position to the special interest group on High-Speed Rail: Policy, Investments, and Impacts for the World Conference on Transport Research Society.
